After some looking for them, man, they are expensive I started reading around and found out that with the IBM employee purchase program, (EPP) you can save up almost 35.

Does anyone do me a big favor and be my friend All you need to purchase through the program is a employee serial number and last name.

I guess probably no one will really want to help, but hey, Ive met some really nice guys on this forum.

I am trying to find out at which IBM plant the gun as manufactured.

I know that IBM was one of the last vendors to make them, and other vendors probably shipped parts to IBM for assembly, but IBM seemed to do a great job coming up to speed.

My question is, how do we tell WHICH IBM plant it was made at I know they dedicated one of the Bldgs.

I cannot find any information on the M1 forums and web sites on how to decode the IBM-made M1 Carbine serial numbers.

There may not be any info available on this but wanted to put this questions out there.

At this time, the Endicott, NY plant was the HQ of IBM Manufacturing.

WWII materials, whether direct, or indirect, were made there.

I specialize in collecting all IBM Endicott memorabilia and if any were made at the old Endicott plant (I am an IBM employee at this old site still) I would be interested in obtaining one for my collection.

Would be great to have real documentation on the different IBM serial numbers, if it exists.
